Head Liability Management – Karachi

Graduate preferably B.Com / Postgraduate degree preferably in Business / Banking or equivalent from an HEC recognized university. Minimum 12-15 years of experience in financial institution or related sectors, of which 5-8 years should have been in liability management roles.

SKILL SET REQUIREMENT

Post requires an extensive knowledge of SBP prudential regulations and other regulatory requirements, conversant with Bank’s environment of best practices & market norm of Business Development, proven track record of driving business strategies.  Customer centric with extensive experience in Liabilities, Portfolio Management, Alliances & Sales Management with hands on experience of managing liability portfolio in a Commercial Bank.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of strategies in line with the Bank’s parent vision.
  • Developing the sales strategy for incremental revenues for the bank.
  • Responsible for sales management & Product development to improve product suite.
  • Responsible for Liabilities Business Growth (CASA) and Banca Business across all branches in Pakistan.
  • Daily / Weekly sessions on business momentum and target achievement with Sales Team, Team Leaders and Area Managers for Deepening, New-to-Bank and CF Business drive
  • Effectively monitoring and engagement with Liability team to maximize the business potential in NTB & Consumer Finance Business Segments
  • Effectively pursue and drive Team Leaders & Area Managers to capture clients in the branch vicinity
  • Conduct monthly comprehensive reviews with the Team Managers to systematically analyze performance to ensure that the implemented strategy is in line with the laid down objectives
  • Active engagement with Branch front-line staff on a periodic basis to have business momentum in line with the assigned targets
  • Inculcate the cross-sell culture among the Branches of Area with the objective to have Multiple Product Sales Model comprising of Deposits, Banc assurance, Consumer Finance & ADC.
  • Initiate sales strategies and action plans for branches to increase sales and product holdings.
  • Engage with the Stakeholders to have a smooth / flawless Business Proposition for the Branch Distribution Network.
  • Responsible for managing and leading the external sales force for the area branches
  • Responsible for identifying new business opportunities
  • Management of Cost of Fund keeping in view the Interest Rate Scenario and Bank’s Strategic view.
  • Periodic analysis of associated cost components and devise strategies to control the cost environment keeping in view the inflationary challenges.
  • Having regular sessions with Area Managers to bring a focused approach towards controlling variable cost components.
  • Adhere to work flows and procedures
  • Conceptualize and implement service initiatives.
  • Periodically monitor service delivery in the Branches and to ensure highest competitive standards.
  • Monitoring of Branch Upkeep along with GSD, to have better customer experience among the Branches of Area.
